Senior Level 3 Systems Engineer | Technical Leadership Opportunity | Perth
Join a growing Perth-based Managed Service Provider where you'll combine hands-on technical engineering with leadership and mentoring. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Level 3 Systems Engineer looking to step into a technical leadership position while remaining actively involved in solving complex infrastructure challenges.
As the senior technical escalation point, you'll work across Microsoft cloud technologies, on-premises infrastructure and networking environments while helping develop the capability of the wider engineering team. You'll mentor junior engineers, improve technical standards and contribute to the continued growth of a highly regarded MSP.

Key responsibilities:
* Act as the final technical escalation point for complex infrastructure and cloud issues
* Mentor and support Level 1 and Level 2 engineers
* Troubleshoot and resolve advanced Microsoft 365, Azure and Windows Server environments
* Support networking infrastructure including firewalls, switching and wireless technologies
* Drive continuous improvement across documentation, processes and technical standards
* Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions
* Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve critical incidents
* Participate in the senior engineering on-call roster
Your profile:
* Previous experience working within a Managed Service Provider
* Strong Microsoft 365, Azure and Windows Server experience
* Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID and Intune
* Strong networking knowledge including DNS, DHCP, VPNs and firewalls
* Experience supporting technologies such as Cisco Meraki, Fortinet or UniFi
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Previous mentoring or leadership experience, either formal or informal
* Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset
* Passion for continuous learning and developing others
