Your new role
As the Value Stream Optimisation Lead, you will be responsible for assessing end-to-end business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and designing future-state operating models that deliver measurable business value. Working across multiple business functions, you will lead value stream assessments, facilitate stakeholder workshops, and develop transformation roadmaps aligned to strategic objectives.A key focus of the role will be identifying opportunities to leverage AI, automation, workflow optimisation, and advanced analytics to improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting value stream mapping and process assessments across key business functions.
• Identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, rework, and operational risks.
• Designing future-state processes and transformation roadmaps.
• Evaluating opportunities for Generative AI, intelligent automation, and process optimisation.
• Developing business cases, ROI models, and benefits realisation frameworks.
• Analysing operational data to identify improvement opportunities and measure outcomes.
• Building executive-level recommendations and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
• Partnering with risk, compliance, technology, and business teams to ensure successful delivery of improvement initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:• 8+ years' experience in Process Excellence, Operational Improvement, Continuous Improvement, or Business Transformation roles.
• Strong experience within Superannuation, Financial Services, Wealth Management, or Insurance environments.
• Demonstrated success delivering measurable operational and business improvements.
• Extensive value stream mapping and process optimisation experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (mandatory).
• Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
• Experience developing business cases, benefits realisation frameworks, and performance reporting.
• Exposure to AI, automation, digital transformation, or emerging technologies.
• A proactive and innovative mindset with a passion for driving continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.
