A full service international bank in Copenhagen is looking for a Market Data Engineer to work on multiple interesting projects.

As Market Data Engineer you will be part of a highly skilled team of Engineers and Developers, developing and supporting multiple vendor based systems. With many interesting and challenging projects going on throughout the organisation, this is an exciting time to join and to influence the road-map of the team.

As Market Data Engineer you will be working with applications that handle hundreds of thousands of prices per second and big data non-sql databases for storage of market data. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and to implement technical solutions to these needs.

As Market Data Engineer, you will ideally have:

  • Scripting skills in Python or any other object oriented development language
  • Experience in performance analysis and capacity planning
  • Linux systems engineering knowledge
  • Knowledge of Non-SQL Databases
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A collaborative approach and mind-set
  • Broad experience with market data engineering or experience working in a capital markets environment would be a big asset
  • A passion for learning
  • BSc or MSc Computer Science or a related subject

Some of what the team are using now include: Cassandra, Spark, Hive, CI/CD pipelining tools, MongoDB, Onetick/KDB
