Key Accountabilities:

Data platform management

1. Responsible for successful delivery of new high priority data related projects on key data science platform like IMH(Cloudera/Oracle), DEP(PEGA), Tableau and SAS with squad team running in Agile mode.
2. Accountable for overall management and continuous improvement of key data platform, which include data model enhancement, predictive model building/optimization/deployment and operation model improvement.
3. Manage PEGA platform for CAR model optimization, campaign process running and fine-tuning.
4. Operating and fine-tuning data models in Hive data mart.
5. Maintain BAU data platform, like performance monitoring, security control, licensing renew, UAT management and change request review.
6. Collaborate with Information Technology Group (“ITG”) data office and Personal & Business Banking Group (“PBG”) data owners in defining and delivering a best in class data management implementation framework.
7. Accountable for successful delivery of new data policy/guideline implementation in PBG.

Data use case development

1. Responsible for data use case roadmap development.
2. Drive data use cases initiation with internal teams / business units.
3. Drive the delivery of data use cases with support of data squad and other internal team members.
4. Promote awareness of data culture across PBG, including conducting data use case related training and communication campaigns.

Requirements:

1. Degree or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or relevant disciplines is preferred.
2. Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience in data analytics, data driven campaign, data governance, data mining, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, next to buy model, machine learning and/or data science related work is preferred.
3. Proven track record of success in delivering desired program/project management outcomes, preferably in banking/financial services industry.
4. Big Data development experience (e.g. Hive, Spark) and knowledge of Python and analytics libraries will be an advantage.
5. Solid experience with statistical modeling tools and data visualization tools.
6. Preferably possess / obtain Core or Professional level of qualification under the HKMA Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) on Financial technology (Fintech).
7. Good at business intelligence applications, analytics platform, database software such as SAS, Python, Tableau and Excel.
8. Strong analytical mindset and problem solving skill.
9. A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
