You will join the Client Implementation under Client Experience Technology and Business Services within the State Street Investment Management COO organization. The role is responsible for overseeing the successful onboarding of new clients into our core platforms, managing complex change requests, and driving strategic initiatives that enhance the overall client experience.

What you will be responsible for

The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Financial Services operations, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end client lifecycle. This individual will partner closely with global service operations, technology, risk, and client-facing teams to deliver seamless implementation outcomes while driving operational excellence and transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of new client onboarding across products, services, and jurisdictions.
• Oversee the setup of new clients, mandates, accounts, reporting requirements, and operational workflows.
• Ensure onboarding activities are executed efficiently while meeting client expectations and internal control standards.
• Act as an escalation point for complex onboarding and implementation challenges.
• Lead execution of client change requests, including account restructures, product expansions, regulatory changes, service enhancements, and operational modifications.
• Ensure effective governance, impact assessment, and communication throughout the implementation process.
• Identify automation and process improvement opportunities across the onboarding and client change lifecycle.
• Lead strategic transformation initiatives to improve scalability, transparency, efficiency, and risk management.
• Drive adoption of digital solutions and workflow enhancements across the Client Implementation function.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with Sales, Relationship Management, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, to deliver successful client outcomes.
• Build strong partnerships with global stakeholders to resolve issues, manage priorities, and improve execution effectiveness.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on client implementation matters.

Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and client focus.
• Drive performance management, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
• Promote a strong risk and control mindset across the team.

Risk, Governance & Control

• Ensure implementation activities comply with regulatory, operational, and governance requirements.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to strengthen the control environment.
• Monitor implementation metrics, operational risks, and service performance to drive consistent outcomes.

Professional Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within cross-functional teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills suited for enterprise environments.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in Asset Management, Investment Banking, Custody, Wealth Management, or Financial Services.
• Extensive experience in Client Onboarding, Client Implementation, Change Management, or Operations leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end client lifecycle, including onboarding, implementation, servicing, and change management.
