Key Responsibilities
- Lead securities operations projects involving market, custody, regulatory, system, and operational changes from initial planning through successful implementation.
- Partner with technology teams and external service providers to develop, test, and implement effective system solutions.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support business teams through system changes, training, testing, and implementation.
- Review existing operational processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, automation, and operational effectiveness.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating stakeholders, priorities, timelines, risks, dependencies, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
- 10+ years of experience in securities operations, with strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle and custody operations processes.
- Demonstrated experience managing operational change, system implementation, or process improvement initiatives within financial services.
- Strong understanding of securities operations and the operational controls required to support complex financial transactions.
- Ability to coordinate projects across business and technology functions while managing multiple priorities, risks, and deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong project management, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across operations, technology, risk, compliance, and business functions.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and coordinating multiple teams within a global organisation.
- Japanese: Fluent / Business level across written and verbal communication.
- English: Fluent / Business level across written and verbal communication.
- Experience coordinating projects with offshore or overseas teams across multiple offices and time zones.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using other data analysis tools.
- Experience working within a global bank, securities firm, investment bank, or other international financial institution.
- Exposure to operational transformation, automation, regulatory change, or technology-driven improvement projects.
