Division : EB Operations

Tax Department as a part of Asset Servicing Operations is at the heart of Euroclear core activity and plays a significant role by dealing with complex Tax cases for hundreds of clients.

Tax Operation department has about 100 people, based in Cracow, Brussels & Hong-Kong. Our department provides tax relief and refund services for customers around the whole world. We are responsible for collecting tax documentation, reporting it to local depositories or Tax Authorities, verifying and inputting it into our system.

Applying the most favourable tax rate, based on client disclosure and applicable tax regime, to interest payments and dividend distributions. Introducing and assisting in the reimbursement of tax refund requests. Fulfilling reporting responsibilities towards local depositories and Tax Authorities. General Description: EB Operations Function Analyst

Responsible for delivering cash or securities operations servicing clients, with a focus on Tax Withholding activities.
The role involves processing a range of specialised operations, which may require research or investigation beyond standard procedures.

You will work as part of an operational team, contributing to service delivery, risk control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You are a believer in One ASO, aligning your development with the overall ASO vision and strategy.

Role

• Experience in Tax Withholding or similar operational processes is an asset.
• Has good knowledge of assigned processes and develops understanding of related workflows.
• Processes a range of operational tasks, including more complex cases with support when required.
• Performs controls on assigned processes and escalates issues when necessary.
• Supports investigation of breaks, discrepancies, or client queries.
• Is able to handle some non-standard or higher-risk operations with guidance.
• Collaborates with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Contributes to continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and proposing enhancements.
• Participates in problem solving sessions and supports implementation of process updates.
• May support training of peers in selected processes.
• May contribute to projects or initiatives related to operational efficiency, risk, quality, or regulatory changes.

Required Qualification

• Experience in a banking back-office, finance operations, or Tax Withholding area is an asset.
• Good understanding of financial products, services, and operational processes.
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to investigate issues and work with different sources of information.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Contributes to building a strong Risk culture.
