- Very good scripting and automation skills in Python and Shell.

For our Zug-based client in the pharmaceutical sector, we are looking for an experienced Solution Engineer / Linux Platform Expert to join a highly specialised engineering team developing the Linux foundation for next-generation medical devices.
Your Responsibilities- Take ownership of a custom Debian-based Linux platform, including kernel customisation, driver integration, and Debian package development and maintenance.
- Design, optimise, and maintain the build, test, and release pipeline to ensure reliable and reproducible software delivery.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis across both software and hardware layers.
- Act as a technical consultant for development teams, supporting the effective use and continuous evolution of the Linux platform.
- Drive improvements in system performance, security, automation, and engineering processes while promoting best practices across the platform.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Linux systems engineering.
- Proven expertise in building, customising, or maintaining Debian-based Linux distributions.
- Strong experience creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Debian (.deb) packages.
- Excellent scripting and automation skills using Python and Shell.
- Solid understanding of Linux internals, operating systems, software build systems (Make/CMake), testing, and packaging lifecycles.
- Experience working with kernel-level components and low-level system integration.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Experience with C/C++.
- Embedded Linux, ARM platforms, or hardware driver development.
- Docker, Kubernetes, KVM, Terraform, CI/CD, or AWS.
