Associate/Analyst - Real Estate Asset Management

Purpose: We are looking for a motivated individual looking to work in the real estate finance area, specifically in commercial real estate loan asset management. Prior experience in real estate finance space is required with working knowledge of different real estate asset classes and commercial real estate loan documentation.
Key Responsibilities: • Direct responsibility for loan management and reporting for a portfolio of commercial real estate loans secured by properties in the UK, Europe and US from the date of investment until final pay-off or resolution
• Work with investment team to set periodic loan reporting requirements in order to monitor loan performance and "on-board" new loans
• Liaise with loan agents, valuers, legal counsel and borrowers to gather deal information and any further information that may be required
• Carry out analysis on the information received including: confirming covenant compliance, checking rent rolls for anomalies, and querying unusual/ unexpected results with the relevant parties
• Analyse and make recommendations in response to borrower requests for lease approvals, sales, loan modifications, waivers or other consents over the loan term
• Provide updated cashflow projections and internal rating recommendations on a periodic basis
• Work with investment and/or restructuring team on underperforming assets
• Provide input for pricing of loan instruments and provide pricing recommendations as and when needed
• Produce internal portfolio reporting to help form deal level strategy and analysis for the purpose of investor reports on a quarterly and ad hoc basis
• Provide loan performance updates to internal and external stakeholders as and when required
• Assist with ensuring the real estate debt funds/vehicles meet all their reporting requirements to investors, authorities, M&G Compliance and with other relevant departments or service providers as dictated by the operating models of the respective funds
Requirements: You will have strong analytical, organisational and communication skills and must work well within teams.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree- ideally in Accounting, Finance, Legal, or Real Estate is preferred.
In order to be successful in this role you will have prior proven experience in real estate and/or real estate loan asset management. You should be someone who wishes to build on this as the next step in a long term career in real estate, finance and/or funds management. You must also be capable of working with minimal supervision.
