Our client is a serious player in the NY value add market, with $13 BN under management and a focus on buying high quality / Premium sites with an undervalued element/ Distressed space they have focused on the development and Transformation of property to realise value. Since starting in the 80's and 90's buying distressed assets they have now built a track record which is the envy of most Large funds.
The Opportunity:
- Working directly with a senior originator and the CEO on a worldwide remit (Focus UK and Germany) to Originate and Invest into assets from 20-200Mn (in the US they own 2 out of the top 10 most expensive buildings in Manhattan so they have to ability to buy anything)
- Constantly looking at new markets and products to invest into NPL's, China, Turkey... everything is on the cards.
- Extensive travel, you will be in every meeting with the CEO assisting him in evaluating deals.
- Un-Parrelled exposure to a deal maker who has closed $13bn on investment. He is super enthusiastic and excited about what he does.
- Highly Entrepreneurial business, this is not sitting behind Excel (although Underwriting is important).
- Ability to invest across the capital structure 'whatever is going to be hot', no restrictions.
- Plenty of dry powder
The role:
- Working with the CEO evaluating deals, pulling together ideas.
- Project managing the process from Idea to plan to execution - Underwriting all the deals including Business plan and financial modelling - Ability to travel with the CEO extensively worldwide (and staying in some of the best Hotels along the way).
Your Requirements:

- Good Evaluation / underwriting skills
- Strong personality, can do attitude
- Autonomous and able to take on responsibility
- Ability to deal with deal makers across the world at a senior level
- As wide a background as possible (sector, - Ability to take on Acquisition responsibility and deliver).
This opportunity is better than ANY PE fund in London or the US for the right person, if you are working for a big fund, learning very little this could be the role for you. Not right for anyone who needs structure and a regular daily pattern.
