cer Financial are working alongside a global product company, who are based in the City of London. They are seeking a Finance Assistant.
The responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include:
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including processing invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders.
- Monitor AP/AR inboxes and resolve customer and supplier queries.
- Prepare weekly payment runs, process bank payments, and carry out credit control.
- Raise customer accounts, manage credit insurance, and process invoice financing.
- Complete weekly bank, credit card, and invoice finance reconciliations.
- Track factory payments, raise purchase orders, and arrange trade finance where required.
- Support month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records, manage invoice portals, and provide general finance administration.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Experience processing invoices, payments, reconciliations, and credit control.
- Understanding of month-end finance processes (accruals, prepayments, journals, reconciliations).
- Experience using finance systems (Xero desirable) and good Excel/Microsoft Office skills.
