About the Role
Our Financial Planners are a key part of our regional teams, providing financial planning advice to private clients with complex needs. Working collaboratively across Quilter’s Wealth Management Division, often with Investment Managers, you will offer clients a bespoke financial plan, typically with an ongoing service.
You’ll be capable of growing our numbers of clients, both from referrals and new relationships, working closely with our sister company, Quilter Cheviot, where appropriate. This could include attending events, being active in local business and communities, following up leads, explaining the Wealth division’s services to potential new clients and developing relationships with professional connections.
Working closely with our local Regional Directors, you will help to develop the growth plans of the region, contributing to the overall plan, providing coaching and advice to members of the team and helping to develop new opportunities.
You’ll absorb and assimilate the latest developments in financial services, the financial markets and economic trends and will provide input into our proposition, service, and colleague development initiatives. Ensuring that all advice is provided within a strict ethical and compliance framework is essential, as is putting clients at the heart of our business.
About You
You’ll have a strong level of technical and product knowledge, an will be an expert in client relationships and service excellence.
Knowledge and awareness of the industry and developments is key, with business development and origination skills highly desirable. In addition you will be experienced in compliance and risk management.
As a minimum, you must hold a level 4 Financial Planning Certificate, or above. Desirable qualifications would include Securities Institute Investment Advice Certificate, the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate, the ATT from the Association of Taxation Technicians or the ATII from The Chartered Institute of Taxation.
