Threat Hunt Lead, Vice President
Who we are looking for
State Street seeks to recruit a Threat Hunt Lead to proactively identify and analyze indicators of compromise. This is a hands on highly technical position that will lead a team. Join us in evolving our threat hunt capabilities to shape a pro-active threat intelligence driven fusion model to protect State Street, its customers and partners from the ever evolving and sophisticated global threat actors. Please note, we will consider remote work options for highly skilled candidates with a strong match against required skills.

What you will be responsible for
  • Leading a team of threat hunters providing technical oversight.
  • Designing and executing continuous strategic and tactical threat hunts based on threat intelligence.
  • Participation in Threat Modelling in conjunction with Cyber Threat Intelligence team.
  • Expansion of hunting scope and depth to keep pace with evolving threat landscape.
  • Enhancing threat hunt tool set, telemetry availability and hunt procedures.
  • Identifying high fidelity indicators that can transform into real time threat detection alerts.
  • Recommending cyber defense enhancements to blue team and IT.
  • Producing metrics of risk and performance indicators.
  • Acquiring and retaining cyber talent with a focus on development and training.

What we value
  • Knowledge of threat hunting techniques, tools and operational procedures.
  • Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
  • Cyber Threat Intelligence and threat modelling experience.
  • Knowledge of IT architecture and operations (computing, network, storage & cloud)
  • Knowledge of security control technologies

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant experience.
  • +2 years in a cyber security management or team leadership role.
  • +5 years in cyber security skill roles - Threat Hunter, SOC Tier 3 Analyst, Incident Response, Penetration testing, etc.

Additional requirements
  • Financial Services experience a plus.
  • Software development and/or scripting experience a plus: Python, Powershell, etc.
  • Technical security certifications a plus - GNFA, GCFA, GPEN, GCDA, GCIH, etc.
