Patient Advocate – Team Lead

Cognizant (formerly BolderHealthcare Solutions) is currently hiring for a Patient Advocate-Team Leadto join our team in Charlotte, NC. We are currently hiring forfull-time schedules and are seeking professional, motivated individuals who arepassionate about helping those in need.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (evenings/weekends may be required)

Position Description:
The PatientAdvocate will assist patients in a hospital setting with applications forbenefits through Medicaid, Social Security Disability and/or hospital charityprogram assistance. We ensure that Medicaid, Social Security, County Indigentor other types of eligible funding for health care services is received forpatients onsite at a local hospital. This includes assisting the patients andothers to complete forms, applications and other paperwork.

TheTeam Leader will ensure a service-oriented and professional working environmentby supervising the performance of Patient Advocate team members and executingnecessary actions for their motivation.

Duties andResponsibilities include knowledge on all reporting aspects,communications terminology, technology and organizational procedures. Completeadditional duties and tasks as assigned.

1. Motivate and inspire the team tosurpass their potential. 2. Improve the team and facilitatingthe communication among the team members. 3. Exceed departmental objectives. 4. Create a sense of ownership whennecessary. 5. Encourage, motivate and support teammembers with issues. 6. Look for development andcontinuous improvement of the team. 7. Ensure that employees followtheir schedules properly. 8. Communicate the company's vision,core values and purpose to employees. 9. Handle escalated calls, questionsand inquiries as necessary. 10. Ensure that all staff adhere tothe laws, rules, and regulations with regard to patient privacy. 11. Other duties may be assigned.
