The Public Markets and Alterative Investment Partners Valuation Committees (the "Valuation Committees") are important governing entities within MSIM that are responsible for overseeing the valuation of equity, fixed income, and derivative securities as well as fund investments. The Valuation Committees interact with portfolio managers from around MSIM, who provide expertise and insight into particular securities, funds and market conditions, but it is the Valuation Committee, acting independently that has the ultimate delegated authority and responsibility for assessing the fair valuation of securities.
